The Week Ahead

I really cannot believe it is nearly Christmas. This year has just flown by. When I was younger, I remember that the days and weeks seemed SO LONG! Now, they just fly by.

On Wednesday, my older twin brother's, Sam and Jake (I do not have pictures of just them so this is all three of us...In case you couldn't tell, they are fraternal twins) well, they are going to be turning 18! I cannot believe it. Just yesterday we were all playing with our stuffed animals together. Now they are within legal age to vote!

Then, the day after, is Christmas Eve and our church, Calvary Chapel Vero Beach, is having a Christmas Eve service at our local high school theater center. The younger children are going to be singing and performing a quick skit on the REAL meaning of Christmas. That is going to be SO cute! I haven't been able to see it the past couple of years because I was teaching the kids. I'm looking forward to watching the skit.

Then it's Christmas. That is going to be crazy fun! We'll be going over to my grandparents (Dad's parents) house for brunch. I think we'll have then over for diner.

On the 27th, unless plans have changed, my grandma, aunt and cousin (Mom's mom, sister, and nephew) are going to be coming into town for a little while. They live in North Carolina so that will be nice to see them. We always have fun.

I haven't posted anything in a little bit that didn't have a video with it. And why stop now? LOL! Here's a video. Enjoy!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Luke 1:35
And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy–the Son of God.

Thanks Grandma

I know I'm blond, but even I have to laugh at blond jokes once in a while! Here's one my grandma sent me.

During a recent password audit, IT discovered a blonde was using the following password:

MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofySacramento

When they asked why such a long password, she said she was told that it had to be at least 8 characters long and include one capital.

Where Are You Christmas - Faith Hill

Kind of cheesy, but I like the song.

Christmas Must Be Something More

"For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11

People seem to be forgetting that more and more as the years progress and caring more and more about hitting the sales on time. By the time Christmas rolls around, they completely forget about the real reason and just want the day to be over with. Everyone (including the person writing this post) is guilty of it.

The days we live in are not very Christ-friendly; it has gotten to the point that some city halls can't even display a nativity scene. From the looks of it, things are going to stay that way until Jesus comes back. But while we're here, we can remember the real reason and tell it to other people.

While my family and I were at my grandparent's house last night for diner, I heard this song by Taylor Swift that inspired this post. The song is called "Christmas Must Be Something More."

A New Kind of Sleigh Ride

I posted this video last year too, but I wanted to again!

My whole family (except my dad) love the band Relient K (misspelled on purpose). This is just their cutest video, I think!

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary. ..

Day 983 of my captivity...
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to

assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously mentally unstable.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now......
