PB&Lucy

I've been wanting to get this on video for a while now, and I finally have! It looks so funny when my little Mini Dachshund, Lucy, licks the peanut butter off a butter knife. I finally got it on video yesterday.

Narnia Thoughts

I have had nothing to blog about lately, hence all the videos. But right now, I'm watching Narnia: Prince Caspian (it's at the part where they're trying to take over the castle). I hate the end of this part, but the rest of the movie is great. The Narnia series has always been a favorite of mine and my brother's. Our mom read us the books ALL the time when we were little!

As I was writing this, I thought two things:

1. I should really wear my glasses while I'm on my computer.

2. It struck me anew how great a job C. S. Lewis did on portraying good and evil through his books and movies.

I always knew that Aslan was suppose to represent God: how, in the first, he sacrificed himself to save Edmond, after what he had done to his brother and sisters; how he is filled with compassion and understanding, and how he is the Mighty Lion.

And I knew that the White Witch was suppose to be the devil: how she's beautiful, fake, and a deceiver.

It is so easy for humans to go down the wrong road (Edmond did in the first, then Caspian and Peter almost do in the second). How easy it is to lose faith that your salvation is just down the road. The devil makes it look nice with anything he can think of.

But as Christians we are to stay on the path of salvation, no matter how hard it is. And if something were to happen, God will always be standing there with open arms saying, "I will always take you back." That doesn't mean that you can do whatever you want, then the next day you say willy nilly, "Oh, I'm sorry God." He will love you through thick and thin, no matter what you do, but you must honestly repent and say meaningfully, "Lord, I am so sorry."

Wow, this post has really written itself. It's gone from Narnia to forgiveness. I hope that means that this is a good post.

What do you think of this post? Leave a comment and let me know!

God bless! [=

Science Lesson of the Day

School may be out, but you can still learn a little something from Skippy.

To watch more from Skippy, go to his YouTube channel. You will be glad you did!

http://www.youtube.com/user/skippyshorts

Such a funny guy! And it's really funny because the guy who plays Skippy goes to a Calvary Chapel (the same church my family goes to) but in California (we're in Florida). A couple of years ago (about three or four now) my brothers went with our youth group to a Calvary Chapel camp in the mountains of California. Well, the guy who plays Skippy was there as a youth councilor for one of the other youth groups there. My brothers didn't know who he was until a few years later though. And one of my brothers (Sam) got "beat up" by him! So, Sam got beat up by Skippy!! LOL!! They said he is just as funny in person as in the videos!

This dog would be outta my house!

Lucy may be crazy, but she has NEVER done this!

Some of these are a little annoying...

The picture didn't come out, but you can hear it and I'm sort of telling what is going on. It's funny to hear Lucy on it!

First Timothy 2:9-10

About a week ago, I started reading my Bible nightly, starting in First Thessalonians, and taking it from there. Last night, I started in First Timothy. I was really tired, but wanted to go ahead and read chapters 1 and 2. I was nearly falling asleep, but when I came to these verses, I was wide awake. Here's what they say:

"...in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls, or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works."

This does not mean that you can't wear gold, pearls, or braid your hair. It simply means that we are suppose to dress modestly and, instead of focusing all our attention on how we look and the clothes we wear, that we are suppose to look at the inside.

Below is a cute song by BarlowGirl.
